About us
Owners Tommy Cole and Roy Caires opened the first ALTER on a very quiet stretch of Franklin Street in Greenpoint in February 2007. The original store held a small selection of vintage and indie designer goods.
ALTER has since grown into a larger space on the same block, with merchandise chosen from nearly 100 brands and makers from around the globe, from everyday wardrobe pieces to one-of-a-kind designs.

Returns or exchanges within 14 days of receiving your order. Items must be unworn, unwashed and have all tags attached; full refund minus shipping, or exchange for another size.
Sale items are final sale. Also final sale: hats, sunglasses, jewelry, perfumes and incense.
